Courtyard by Marriott Rock Hill

Was hesitant in staying here after reading reviews. Glad I didn't listen to them. First time ever staying here. Hotel was just recently bought out and new owners are getting ready to drop a few dollars on updating this location. You can most definitely tell they are trying. Office was friendly. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Shower was clean. Everything worked as should. Multiple complaints of ac not working in hallway or main level. They was working on it, not a big deal to me as I tend to sleep in the room I rent and not the hallway. Great location. Near food and gas stations. Not a coffee drinker or breakfast eater so I cannot attest to that. My experience was better than expected and I will use this hotel going forward every time im in rock hill. Quiet area for being next to highway. There is no hot tub but still is not a deal breaker for me. There are a lot of hotels that get busy in this area due to rock hill sports complex. I had zero issues with privacy or noise. Was a pleasant 5 day stay. Will see them again in a few weeks. I stayed on the 3rd floor where people complained of ac not able to keep up with room. It was 100 degrees outside and I was able to keep my room at 64⁰ with no issues.

The people there were awesome. In particular, Chelsea, at the front desk was kind, helpful, and witty. She helped me find my way around Rock Hill and always had a smile the entire time I was there.

Amazing hotel! This is always my first choice when I travel to the area, and I consistently recommend it to colleagues, friends, and family. The location is the perfect blend of a business-friendly atmosphere with a peaceful, warm, and welcoming vibe. Despite all of these great qualities, the biggest wow factor that truly sets this place apart is the staff—most especially the General Manager, Chelsea. She is hospitality at its finest. Not only is Chelsea a genuinely delightful presence herself, but she also leads an exceptional team who consistently put their best foot forward and make every stay feel special.

Super friendly front desk staff. Love the smell when you walk through the door. Hotel is located not far from eating/shopping. Rooms are clean and huge. The only thing that needed attention was the extra small room tvs but I seen them bringing in tvs on my last day. Hopefully they were replacing the room tvs. All and all, it was a good stay.

I have worked with this hotel quite a bit for many years, hosting groups and they are fabulous to work with. I would highly recommend this property as the staff is excellent to work with. Special shoutout to Erin in the sales office who is always willing to help me out!

The rooms are big,clean and spacious. The Ac was relatively quite. The location is ok, could be better, not a lot of food options. They dont have that much option for breakfast either and the coffee is average. Plenty of parking spots.

We arrived around 8:00 p.m. and immediately noticed our room was extremely cold (55°F). The thermostat showed the heat was set to 80°F, but the room would not warm up. The heating unit would run for about five minutes and then shut off, and despite repeated attempts, the temperature only increased a degree or two. I called the front desk multiple times with no answer and eventually had to go downstairs in person. The front desk attendant appeared to be working alone and was on a call, which likely explains why the phone wasn’t answered. The front desk staff said maintenance would be notified. Maintenance did come up, checked the thermostat and wall unit, told me I should be good, but if the unit turned off again, turn the thermostat off, then back on. Unfortunately, this did not resolve the issue. The heat continued turning off every few minutes, so I had to switch it off, then back to heat to get the heating unit to run again. By 10:30 p.m. the room was only about 60°F. When I woke up around 4:00 a.m., it had dropped back to 58°F. I did this song and dance again in the morning until we had to leave and got the room up to 64F. We returned later in the afternoon to find the wall thermostat had been removed. The wall unit was running and set to 74°F, and the room was finally comfortable, though there was no communication about the change. That said, there were positives. The room itself was clean, the bed was comfortable with supportive pillows, and the shower had good water pressure. The location is also very convenient — easy to get in and out of, Starbucks across the street, Outback in the same parking lot, and the area felt safe.

I chose them last minute for a work trip, and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm and welcoming. My room was spotless, the bed was super comfortable, and everything I needed was right there. It was perfect after a long day of travel and meetings. Funny enough, I didn’t read any reviews before booking. After my stay, I glanced at a few and was surprised by some of the mixed feedback. That just wasn’t my experience at all. Everything from check-in to the overall atmosphere felt smooth, safe, and well cared for. There were a few moments of noise (possibly from upgrades or renovations), but it wasn’t disruptive and didn’t take away from the comfort of my stay. Last night I also grabbed a bite to eat just before the kitchen closed for the night, and the staff couldn’t have been more kind or accommodating. The food was genuinely good & better than I expected for a quick late-night option. The location is convenient, the property is quiet overall, and I’d absolutely stay here again. Sometimes you just have to trust your own experience—and mine was excellent.
